The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which interested adults and children are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life.

A Church Tour

On January 3, 2017, Gavin MacHutchin, a long-time parishioner, lead the Catechumens and Candidates on a tour of Saint Patrick Catholic Church starting with a brief history of Saint Patrick Catholic Church & School. He talked about the architecture of the church and the renovations of the building over the years. Gavin showed the  group the vestments, the articles of the Mass and the Books.

Learning Latin

Together, the group discovered that the Latin words inscribed on the altar in Latin, “Ecca, panis angelorum factus cibus viatorum” means “Behold, the bread of angels, made the food of wayfarers.”

Journeying Together

In October 2016, RCIA leadership invited everyone to journey together with our Catechumens and Candidates on many of the class presentations. Catholics were invited to grow in thier Catholic faith, deepen their prayer life and help build the Church that Christ calls us to be. The community was invited to learned more about Catholicism.

All Are Welcome

On January 10, 2017, RCIA presented the Call to Holiness— the First Three Commandments: Love of Neighbor with Rabbi Bruce Kadden from Temple Beth El.  Parishioner Zack Kinneman invited the to come help the Catechumens and Candidates on thier journey.

Join the Catechumens and the Candidates on their Catholic faith journey.  An RSVP is never necessary.  Come as often as you like and bring a friend or a few.
