On February 12, 2017, parishioners Yvonne and Dennis DePaul led a tour of Saint Patrick Catholic Church for children preparing for the Sacrament of First Communion.
Beautiful Worship Space
The tour leaders, highlighted the architecture of the church, the beautiful stained glass windows, the medallions depicting the sacraments, the statues and the furnishings. They also presented the vestments of a priest like the chasubles and articles of the Mass such as the chalice and paten. View more photos of Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
In addition, the DePaul’s shared their experience of the Eucharist as the Source and Summit of the Catholic faith, inspiring the children and their families to continue regular practice of Eucharist.
Holy Mass Box
After the tour, the children and their families decorated their Holy Mass box in the Church Hall.
In late March 2017, the Sacramental Prep group will go on retreat. At that time, they fill the Holy Mass boxes with articles that help them learn about the Mass.
