You won’t want to miss the second statewide Cornerstone Catholic Conference, October 20-21, 2017, in Tacoma. Last year the gathering drew a crowd of 800 faithful. In 2017, 1200 faithful expected to attend.

Extraordinary Keynote Speakers

Bishop Robert Barron, (auxiliary bishop of Los Angeles and host of the Catholicism series), Helen Alvaré, (former Director of Planning and Information, USCCB Secretariat for Pro‐Life Activities) and Ralph McCloud (Director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development) will be keynote speakers, along with the Bishops of Washington State.

The 2017 Cornerstone Inspire and Educate1604168

The Bishops of Washington State sponsor Cornerstone Conferences to inspire and educate Catholics and others to continue working together to protect human life: the unborn, individuals who live in poverty or on the margins of society, and people at the end of life.

Volunteers Needed

WSCC invites anyone interested in volunteering to help with the 2017 Cornerstone Conference to complete a Volunteer Form.

The following details will help you decide when and where your talents will be most relevant:

  • Volunteers helping on the days of the event will need to be present for training and set up Friday morning and afternoon and therefore need to plan to have that day off or free from other obligations.
  • There are MANY areas where prep work is needed. On the volunteer form please indicate whether you are able to help in the time leading up to the event, or at the actual event, or bot).
  • When filling out the volunteer form, there is a section that says to use numbers to indicate your preferred tasks. For this, refer to the second sheet of the volunteer document where the volunteer tasks are numbered (1-9) and a brief description of each is given.
