The Catholic church views blood and organ donation as charity, fraternal love, and self-sacrifice. One pint of blood can save up to three lives. The need for blood donors is always high. Yet only 3% of the population donates blood.
Saint Patrick Catholic School families sponsor the event in honor of school parent Rick Donohue. As a thank you, families will provide donuts to donors.
