A Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick Retreat was held in early November 2015 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church. Father Jerry Graham, S.J., parish priest led the retreat.

In preparation of the spiritual care of others through pastoral ministries the day began with daily Mass followed by fellowship in the Parish Center.  The retreat continued at Chapel in the Parish Center with the reflection of the day—Spiritual Care of the Dying—just one of the many aspects of pastoral care provided by St. Pat’s. Quiet prayer and small group then large group sharing followed the guided reflection.

The retreat closed with a special blessing for all ministers who pastorally care for our faith community. Twenty people who answered the call to serve participated in the retreat including members of the Grief Ministry and the new Health Ministry leader—Garry Fitzgerald.

Saint Patrick Catholic Church is very grateful for the lay ministers who provide pastoral care to the parish community. The parish continues to explore other ways to provide pastoral care to all of our parishioners and the St. Pat’s community within our parish boundaries.
