Saint Patrick Catholic School is a remarkable place. I am struck by how many of those students I still keep in regular contact with. I have built lifelong friends in this community.

What sort of kindness have you received from others today? How did it change your day?

"I experienced so much kindness from others today: students holding those heavy stairwell doors open when they saw me walking their way, parents and students helping me break down and recycle school supplies boxes, and others sharing their excitement for me in my new role."

I think we need parent shirts that say "Intermediate Division Family Support Squad" or maybe cheer squad! <3

Connection before content!

We emphasize the importance of building relationships and trust with students before diving into academics. This approach fosters a sense of belonging, emotional safety, and mutual respect, which leads to better learning outcomes.

When students feel seen, valued, and connected to their teachers and peers, they are more open to engaging with the academic material. Prioritizing connection allows for a more supportive environment where students can emotionally and academically thrive.

Sometimes teachers in different subjects like math do not connect as easily with kids, as this is the experience of my middle schooler. If you struggle in a subject and the teacher is unapproachable that student is scared to ask for help when struggling with tests. Sometimes the grade becomes the wall between student and teacher. Connections to the heart and achieving small goals for those students who are struggling academically would build confidence and relationships.

🎨🐟 The SCHOOL is creatively swimming thanks to Art Specialist Mrs. Emily Keller.

Shamrocks craft unique "expression fish," each representing an emotion or feeling. The colorful fish will swim together to form Our Saint Pats SCHOOL of fish! 🐠

Dive in and check it out next time you're on campus! 🌊💚

As many of our 2nd-grade students begin preparing to receive the sacraments of Reconciliations and First Holy Communion, and our 7th and 8th graders prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, we invite your to say this Prayer for Catechism Students —

Dear God,

You never stop drawing us closer to You.
Pour Your grace upon these young disciples as they learn about You.
Attract them.
Challenge them.
Love them.
Guide them.
Bless them.

Amen.
