Tacoma Public Schools Nutrition Services Department will provide meals to all students affected by emergency school closures at their middle school buildings. All children age 0-18 qualify regardless of school or financial need. Children must be present to receive the meals.
Meals will be served 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Each student will receive two meals: lunch for the day and breakfast for the following morning.
Enter the school bus loading zone area. Nutrition Services staff will serve drive-thru style. Walk-ups are also welcome. Look for on-site sandwich boards for additional directions.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department has approved this process for meal distribution, which avoids people congregating in one area.
As part of a balanced diet suggested by the USDA, Saint Patrick Catholic School provides a salad bar to students with lunch subscriptions, a selection of 10 fresh vegetables and fresh fruit in season.
Bell peppers, broccoli, canned fruit, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cheese, corn, cottage cheese, green beans, salad mix, tomatoes, fresh fruit such as kiwis, oranges, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, etc.
Pasta salad, tuna salad, diced turkey, ham, and/or chicken, garbanzo beans, snap peas and, cucumber
1% milk, nonfat milk, and nonfat chocolate milk
