Saint Patrick Catholic School is extremely proud to announce that at the school’s first-ever entry in the Choral Festival and Adjudication at Mt. Tahoma High School, the choir received an overall rating of “Excellent.”
On a scale of 1 to 5 (with 1 being the highest), the renowned judges from the music departments at the University of Washington and Tacoma Community College scored the Saint Pat’s Choir with a rating of a 2+ which was higher than many first-time high school and middle school entries at the festival. The choir was specifically recognized for its “impressive, unified tone, excellent physical training and preparation, and expressive and engaging” performance.
Noted in particular were the outstanding performances by the choir’s student pianists, Yimo Shen and Julia Maher, cellist Nicholas Been, and soloist Mary Mowrey. Congratulations to the entire choir!
