Home Grown, World Class Talent

Several of the world’s most sought after choral composers and guest conductors just happen to make their home in Pierce County. The Choir members have had several opportunities during the past three years to meet and sing for some of these talented composers. They are all in frequent demand around the world for their creativity, ingenuity, and sensitivity as composers, educators, and conductors. And several of them have not only confessed to being big fans of the Saint Patrick Catholic School Choir, but have confirmed they will be in the audience

Inspired by an opportunity The Choir had last year to collaborate in the development of a new cantata, and then participate in the premiere performance of this work in March 2017, this concert highlights the fact that you don’t always have to go to the farthest reaches in time or place to come across some of the most beautiful and relevant inspiration for our time. Sometimes what you are looking for is right here in our own backyard—“Homegrown & Locally-Sourced.”

The concert will feature the works of:

  • Michael Bennett
  • Dan Davison
  • Dr. Brian Galante
  • Judith Herrington
  • Dr. J. Edmund Hughes
  • Andrea Klouse
  • Dr. Richard Nance
  • Dr. Gregory Youtz
