We Are Currently Accepting Applications for 2017-2018

It’s our mission to make Catholic schools accessible for families and students. For the 2017-2018 school year, a Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Grant will provide $1,200 towards elementary tuition and $1,350 towards high school tuition. Grants are distributed annually to students in grades K-12 and are awarded on the basis of financial need.

Fulcrum is continuing to partner with FACTS to manage the collection and processing of tuition assistance applications. Award decisions will still be made by Fulcrum and will still be based on financial need.

It costs $24 per family (no matter how many students) to apply for a Fulcrum Foundation tuition assistance grant. You will be reimbursed for the full $24 even if you do not receive an award, but your student must be enrolled in a Catholic school for the 2017-2018 school year.

Applications for 2017-2018 are currently being accepted . The due date of January 6, 2017 is approaching. Applications will not be accepted after this date.

St. Patrick Catholic School will also be offering financial aid for the 2017-2018 school year as usual. The applications are now available. We would like any family in need of assistance to please complete this application. It is not necessary to also apply for the Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance program as in years past. Since the Archdiocese is reimbursing the application fee they ask that only families that meet the eligibility guidelines apply. FAQ

Is the FACTS application process secure? Yes. All documentation submitted to FACTS is imaged and then destroyed. FACTS is SSAE16 audited, PCI DSS Level 1 validated and Red Flag ready.

Does FACTS require a Social Security number or credit check? No. FACTS does not require a Social Security number to apply nor do they require a credit check as part of the application process.
What if a family doesn’t file taxes? That’s OK, families are not disqualified from applying or receiving a grant if they don’t have tax documents. The FACTS application contains options for applying without tax documentation. If a family has questions about their particular situation, Please contact a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1‐866‐441‐4637.
How will schools know if a family is awarded a Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant? TAP Coordinators will receive an email from Susan Ocoma, Fulcrum’s programs manager, once award determinations have been made and updated in FACTS. They will be able to and see application and award status via the FACTS website.
How do families submit their tax and W‐2 documentation? Any documentation can be uploaded from a computer, tablet or smart phone. It can also be faxed to 1‐866‐315‐9264 or mailed to: FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment P.O. Box 82524, Lincoln, NE 68501‐2524. Special instructions are included in the application for those who do not have the requested documentation. 
How do families apply for Fulcrum tuition assistance through FACTS? Families apply online and submit necessary documentation to FACTS. The application window opens October 1, 2016. The application deadline is January 6, 2017 – no applications will be considered for funding after the deadline.
