Support the St. Leo Food Connection Backpack Program serving over 1200 students each week at schools in Tacoma, Lakewood and Puyallup.  Each month we collect a food item that fills the greatest need for the Backpack Program.

Backpacks contain two days of easy to access food such oatmeal packets, instant soups, fruits and vegetables so that students can come to school nourished and ready to learn after the weekend.

Looking ahead, the following are needed, ideally in single-serving sizes:

  • January | fruit cups
  • February | noodle cups
  • March | dried fruit
  • April | mac & cheese cups
  • May | cereal
  • June | fruit snacks

For decades years, the St. Leo Food Connection, part of St. Leo Parish, has been fighting hunger in Pierce County. The St. Leo Food Connection is one of the largest on-site food banks in the country.

Students can drop off donations in their homeroom classes. Monetary gifts are also accepted!
