Philosophy of Education
My teaching philosophy is centered on teaching and developing the whole child. I also believe that learning should be active, engaging, and cooperative. I hope my students leave my classroom feeling happy, empowered, and ready to learn more tomorrow! I am very passionate about teaching math and helping students see the importance of math in the world around us.
I graduated from Gonzaga University where I majored in math and received my 6th-12th grade teaching license with an endorsement in math. I then received my Master’s degree and ESL endorsement at the University of Portland in the PACE program.
I have taught middle school math in Catholic schools since 2013 in both Bothell, Portland, and most recently Chicago.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, playing volleyball, being active, and traveling with my husband, Andrew.
