Philosophy of Education
My role as an educator is to develop the hearts and minds of my students by creating an environment that is safe and welcoming, yet stimulating and challenging. I recognize the unique strengths, talents, and interests of each child and strive to differentiate my instruction to meet their needs and encourage continual growth. By keeping Jesus’ teachings at the center of daily classroom life, I will help today’s students become faith-filled, morally aware, contributing members of tomorrow’s world. As they inspire me to be a lifelong learner, I must likewise inspire them.

Before joining the St. Patrick staff in 2016, I worked in the Tacoma public schools and, intermittently, in St. Patrick and St. Nicholas Catholic schools as a substitute teacher for seven years.
My husband and I have three young daughters, two of which attend St. Patrick School. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, reading, and running. As a St. Patrick School alumni and parish member since birth, I feel truly blessed to be an educator in this wonderful community I have called home for so many years.
