December Events
Brrrr, it’s getting colder.

Please see our Emergency Weather procedures posted on our website and in our family handbook. Remember hats and warm coats so kids can go out for recess.  Also, dropping off on Yakima and having students walk down to the playground is safer than navigating steep hills as the temperatures dip to freezing.

Take a look at our December lunch menu.  We will have a return of grilled cheese sandwiches and hot tomato soup which is a perfect combo for cold winter days.  Also, the following week I will join the kitchen staff making hot chocolate.  Whether your kids purchase hot lunch or not, hot chocolate will be available for all.  Just a fun way to bring in winter.

Dec. 8 is an Advent retreat for our 8th graders.  They and their teachers will be joined by parent chaperones spending the full day at the L’Arche Farm.  Please keep our 8th graders in your prayers as they spend 24 hours in work, faith sharing and quiet contemplation.

We have our half day scheduled for Dec. 9.  This is a noon dismissal for Professional Development for the teachers.  Thank you again, for your support of our teachers’ ongoing development.
The 7th and 8th graders have their first dance on the 9th being joined by students from some of our other local Catholic schools.  It should be fun.

St. Nicholas Day celebration will be at the Parish on Sunday, Dec. 4 after all masses.

On Sunday, December 11,  our robotics teams will compete at Auburn Mountainview H.S.  Opening ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m.  Teams Botmen & Robyn and Cyborg Leprechauns will be competing.

The Parochial Band Concert will be held at Bellarmine at 6:00 pm on December 11.
The SPPA Christmas party will be held on December 14.

Our beautiful Christmas Program is scheduled for Dec.15 at 6:30 p.m.   Maria Lewis designs a wonderful Advent, Christmas celebration at the church featuring almost all of our students.  This has been a holiday standing room only event, so please join us early.
