Annual Fund 17 – We Are One
12% of Annual Fund donations are from parishioners. This week, the Baileys share why they contribute to the Annual Fund.
“At the time our two daughters attended St. Pat’s, the school was struggling with finances and enrollment. One of the grade levels only had 13 students. Consideration was given to combining grade levels. We (the school families) were not sure that the school would survive. Several parish schools in Pierce County had closed not that many years before.
REACH was in its infancy and the parish was stepping up its support of the school. We added the Annual Fund as a means of garnering additional financial support from the entire parish, school families and those without children in the school.

We still donate to the Annual Fund 20+ years after our daughters graduated. We want to help assure that the school continues on a stable financial footing, so it can continue to provide an outstanding Catholic grade school education in North Tacoma, and contribute to the life of the parish for years to come.” – Bill and Marilyn Bailey
