Do you Shop?

Of course, you do. That’s why it’s so easy for you to support the Scrip program at Saint Patrick Catholic School.

What is Scrip?

Scrip is Fundraising While You Shop®. This amazingly successful fundraising program has worked for thousands of parochial schools. Scrip turns everyday shopping into cash for Saint Patrick Catholic School when families use retail gift cards to pay for everyday purchases (like gas and groceries) instead of credit/debit card or cash.

The Basics of the Scrip Program

  • Saint Patrick Catholic School families, friends, and parishioners buy retail gift cards through the Scrip program at face value.
  • Choose from a number of local vendors and over 700 national retail stores where you already shop.
  • Saint Patrick Catholic School buys the gift cards (Scrip) at 1-25% less than face value (varies by retailer).
  • Saint Patrick Catholic School earns the difference with the vendors essentially giving the school a reward for selling gift cards that encourage school families to shop at their stores.

Here’s an Example

Say you purchase a $100 Safeway or Fred Meyer gift card through the Scrip Program. You can go buy $100 worth of groceries – you get the full $100. Saint Patrick Catholic School has earned 4.5% ($4.50) from Safeway or Fred Meyer. The earned percentage varies from vendor to vendor.
