At Easter Vigil on March 26, 2016, 18 participants of the RCIA for children (RCIC) program received Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.
Growing in their Faith
From September 2015 to May 2016, the children, ages 7-17, gathered to learn more about the Catholic Church and to grow in their faith. Their involvement in the process along with the support of their families and sponsors was inspirational and helped to create a tight-knit faith community.
Celebrating Together
On May 14, 2106, they came together again for a picnic to celebrate the special event. Although the weather was cold, the group had a great time breaking bread together, playing soccer and just hanging out.
Continued Connections
Plans are being made to gather again in August 2016 for faith sharing and community building, said Laura Dougherty, RCIC Leader.
