ELECTIVE CLASS
DESCRIPTION
Beginning in the early years of this decade, Saint Pats devised a new
elective class that would encompass a host of skills supporting the process
of documenting its own school history. Based in mountains of
photos and stories of wise alumni, a class was born and it continues to
gather artifacts and stories. Since it was first conceived, there
has been and will continue to be growth toward an organized historical
account.
Today our students experience many of the tasks
required to document such a body of information and are utilizing
all possible means to reach out to the community and experience an
ongoing real-life project.
CLASS LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Skills learned in this class will include a variety of investigative
tasks: artifact identification and organizing, research methods,
advertising & marketing, and technology skills.
